Cinema in the Park Aus Day Edition - Red Dog

Enjoy Australia Day celebrations by sitting outside in the fresh summer air watching a classic Australian Movie, Red Dog.

Come down with your picnic rug, bean bag or low chair on Australia Day eve to watch Red Dog with your family and friends to celebrate Australia Day in the City of Ryde.

The first 1000 people will be given a coupon to receive a free sausage sanga and soft serve ice-cream (kids only) so come down early at 6.30pm!

There will be will also be special appearances by giant jumping kangaroos.

Limited free popcorn will also be handed out on entry until stock runs out (1box per family). Movie will commence at sundown, approximately 8pm. This is a free event.

The BBQ will be run by "The Moocooboolah District Scouts"

Is entry free?

Entry is free. However, you will be required to book a ticket prior to the event.

Is this event COVID safe

Yes, the event has been planned in line with NSW Health outdoor event restrictions. 

What are the COVID safety measurements?

All attendees and staff must not attend if they are feeling sick or have any COVID 19 symptoms outlined by NSW Health.

COVID-19 Safe cleaning practices will be undertaken frequently during the event.

Hand sanitizing stations will be available to attendees upon check-in.

All attendees will be required to QR code on site and a proof of COVID vaccination will be required.

Children must always be accompanied by an adult.

City of Ryde will be checking daily updates and safety measures requested by NSW Health Department to comply with the COVID-19 safety requirements.

Attendees not complying with City of Ryde’s safety rules will be asked to leave the premises by City of Ryde staff members.

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, small/medium size dogs can come into the event site. Owners must ensure that the dogs are on leads at all times and are the responsibility of the owner. If dogs become disruptive, staff may have to ask you to leave the event site.

Can you smoke onsite?

No smoking onsite.

Is there food available?

There will be an ice cream truck and food truck available onsite for purchase. Limited Pop corn will be handed out to event attendees until stock runs out. (Limit of one box per family). 

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you may bring your own food. Please make sure you discard all your rubbish at the end of the night.  

Is there parking available?

On street parking available. 

What happens if there is wet weather?

The City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and Facebook page.
