City of Ryde Priority Weeds Workshop

Learn how some weeds can kill Australian native species and how to identify them.

About this event

Do you want to know what it takes for plants to be classified as weeds?

Ever questioned how non-native plants are killing Australia’s biodiversity?

Have you ever wondered if the plants in your backyard or local area are considered a biosecurity risk?

Then this workshop will be perfect for you! Come and join us for a free weeds workshop so you can learn more about how certain plants are harmful to our Australian native plants.

At City of Ryde we have a list of plants that are harmful to our native species. Join us to learn about how to recognise our “priority weeds”, understand how they are killing our native Australian plants and learn how you can help slow the spread of these weeds.
