Furniture Restoration Workshop

Celebrate National Recycling Week by learning how to give new life to a preloved piece of furniture.

The experts from The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre will teach you how to:

  • fix wobbly chair and table legs
  • repair joints
  • replace worn out or missing parts

This workshop is suitable for adults who live in the City of Ryde local government area

Please bring your own:

  • note pad and pen to take notes
  • water bottle
  • reusable coffee cup to enjoy morning tea
  • lunch

Light refreshments will be provided.

There is NO need for you to bring your own piece of furniture but please feel free to bring your small broken timber furniture items if you wish. The Bower will supply furniture items for you to learn and practice on.

Clothing and footwear:

  • Clothing must be suitable for physical activities and manual handling
  • Shoes must be sturdy, fully enclosed, have a non-slip sole and be suitable for workshop activities. Thongs, sandals and open toed shoes are not permitted.
