Furoshiki Workshop (FULLY BOOKED)

This event is FULLY BOOKED.

Learn the beautiful Japanese art of wrapping gifts in fabric and say no to waste this Christmas season. Furoshiki embraces the three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle by providing a beautiful and sustainable alternative to gift wrapping.

Yoshie, our lovely teacher who has been practicing furoshiki for many years, will teach us the basics of this art form in this hands-on class.

Fabric will be provided or you can bring your own. Fabric sizes used in the workshop are squares of 50cmx50cm, 70cmx70cm and 1mx1m.

Please bring the following items to practice your wrapping on:

  • 1 wine bottle;
  • 2 DVD cases or a regular sized book; and
  • 1 orange, apple or similar sized round item.
