Guided Walk: NAIDOC Week - Glades Bay Riverwalk - Session two

Take a walk along the Wulaba track, enjoy the remnant of bushland in Glades Bay Reserve and be on the lookout for bush tucker plants as you are guided through the bush to the shores of the Parramatta River. Learn about the local indigenous history of the Wallumedegal people, understand their co-existence within the surrounding area of Glades Bay and visit aboriginal rock carvings. The newly built Riverwalk track has been completed, take in the breathtaking new water views.

Parking: Parking available in surrounding local streets.

Meeting Point: On the grass verge at the top of the reserve, near the corner of York Street and Linsley Street, Gladesville.

The walk will commence and conclude at the same location.

Suitability/notes:
Walk distance is approximately 2km in duration so a basic level of fitness is required. This walk is conducted on a combination of paths and bush tracks including some uneven ground, grass surfaces, steep slopes and steps so a reasonable level of mobility is required.

This walk is not suitable for strollers, prams or mobility devices.

All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/carer.

No dogs or pets.

No smoking.

Equipment: Please bring your own water, water bottle and sunscreen.

Clothing: Must be suitable for physical activity. Hats must be worn. Bring a jacket in the event of inclement weather.

Footwear: Shoes must be sturdy, enclosed, have a non-slip sole and suitable for physical activity. Thongs, sandals and open toed shoes are not permitted.
