July School Holidays | Sydney Radio Control Car Club

The hobby has grown so much in the last 24 years that it can no longer be classed as a hobby, it is a very competitive sport. 1/10th scale electric radio control off road racing has competitors all over Australia competing together to expand our sport. Powered by an electric motor these buggies are capable of real speeds of 50 to 60 k.p.h. Race time is 5 minutes plus the time it takes to complete the final lap.

The cars carry a small transponder for lap scoring. As a car passes over the transponder loop, the transponder number is registered on the computer. At the end of the race, the driver with the highest score is the winner.
