Lights for Kids

This year the City of Ryde are working with the Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital to support the Lights for Kids program. The Lights for Kids program is a fundraising campaign whereby members of the community decorate their homes with Christmas lights, and encourage people who come to view their displays to offer a donation which will benefit sick and injured children at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

We encourage households in the Ryde area to light up their house for Christmas and to register with the Lights for Kids program. For details on how to register, simply visit the Lights for Kids website.
You can also visit participating households by also visiting the website and finding out where they are located as well as voting for your favourite house in the People’s Choice Award.

The City of Ryde will be running a “best decorated house” award for houses in the Ryde area registered with the Lights for Kids program, with a cash prize donated to the program and a prize for the winning house.
