Ryde Youth Theatre: The Forecast Says Whales but we say Revolution

Plastic.
Plastic in piles, in heaps, in unstable mounds. Plastic that covers the earth as far as anyone has been able to trek.
The lucky few live in treehouses high above the rubbish, eat pavlova, travel by waterslide and only ever look up from their utopia to see the whales fly by. They never look down.
In the rubbish the children are disappearing. No-one knows what is taking them, or where they’re being taken to. The last survivors must choose: commit an act of unspeakable cruelty to save themselves, or close their eyes and let the unknowable come.
