Seniors Festival: Art of Ageing Exhibition

Using our vision wall at Ryde Library, come and view the Art of Ageing Exhibition. Through this exhibition, NSW Government aims to achieve inclusive communities throughout the state where younger people respect and recognise the contributions made by older Australians and older people feel safe, included and connected.

The Art of Ageing exhibition in digital format will be shown at Ryde Library during this year’s NSW Seniors Festival.

  • The exhibition is a NSW Government initiative which aims to challenge people’s views on ageing and the experiences of older people across the state.
  • A learner driver, gymnast and ukulele player are among the extraordinary seniors who are featured in the exhibition, which celebrates the lives of older people living in regional NSW.
  • The NSW Government commissioned this exhibition to highlight the incredible lives of seniors and promote inclusive communities for all generations.
  • The Art of Ageing exhibition comprises the work of five photographers from Wagga Wagga, Taree, Molong, Mudgee, and Goulburn
  • A physical version of the exhibition is also currently on an extended tour across NSW.
  • The Art of Ageing digital exhibition will be displayed in Ryde Library from 11 February until 24 February 2019 to coincide with NSW Seniors Festival.
  • The exhibition artworks, stories and photographer biographies can be viewed online.
