DIGITAL | Starting a Small Business

Are you under 25 and thinking of starting a small business?

Maybe you have a hobby that is becoming a business?

This free 90-minute session will help you understand:

  • The difference between a hobby and a business
  • What to do if your hobby turns into a business
  • The most common business structures and the registrations you may need to be in business.

Getting it right is important so come along, ask questions and give your business the best chance of success. We will have 2 different sessions with repeated content. Open to young people 25 and under.

This online event is presented in partnership with the Australian Tax Office.

About the Facilitator

Sarah Shipley has extensive experience working for and with small businesses, and since joining the ATO has worked across both the GST and Small Business areas. Sarah is passionate about supporting Australian small business owners by providing them with the tools and information they need to succeed.
