DIGITAL | Tax for Creatives Workshop

It’s the end of the financial year, which means it's time for creatives (and everyone else) to get your money stuff in order.

It's not much fun but a few simple tips and tricks (and a friendly face) can help. This free webinar will help you get organised and take the terror out of tax. Creatives, you are not alone!

Tax for Creatives takes a practical and friendly look at:

  • The key creative tax rulings you need to know – and how they apply to you
  • The test for working out if you are a hobby or a business, and why it matters
  • How to work out your deductions
  • Easy tips and tricks for record keeping, including could accounting
  • Better financial habits for next year.

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions, and get access to more resources and support.

Who is this workshop for?

Come along if you are just starting out in your arts career, a recent graduate, a curious hobbyist or a creative freelancer. More experienced practitioners are also welcome.

This workshop is open to anyone who lives, works, studies or plays in the City of Ryde.

What you'll get
  • A chance to ask questions and interact with the host
  • Lifetime access to a dedicated Dropbox folder full of additional resources.

The webinar is relaxed and informal, you can ask all the questions you’ve never been able to ask before, and you’ll be given ample opportunity to network and practice your newfound skills.

What you'll need

You will be emailed a link to the workshop registration and instructions about how to logon prior to this event. You’ll need access to a stable internet connection and a computer, laptop or tablet to participate in the workshop. We don’t recommend using a phone due to the small screen size.
