West Ryde Garden Bar

Due to inclement weather, The West Ryde Garden Bar scheduled for this Saturday 13 November has been postponed until Saturday 4 December.

Restrictions are easing and the City of Ryde wants to help the community celebrate our new freedoms after what has been a challenging few months.

Come down to the West Ryde Garden Bar to enjoy some drinks or coffee served from a double decker bus, food, dessert and live local music with your family and mates. 

Please note:

  • This is a non-ticketed event and due to the current health guidelines a maximum of 1 person per 2 square meters is allowed within the licenced bar area at any given time..
  • The current health guidelines require all event attendees to QR check in, to be fully vaccinated and to show your COVID vaccination certificate on arrival.

Is Entry Free?

Entry is free

Site capacities in line with COVID restrictions will apply. 1 person per 2 square meters is allowed within the licenced bar area at any given time.

All attendees will be required to QR code on site and a proof of COVID vaccination will be required.

Children must always be accompanied by an adult.



Is this event COVID Safe?

Yes, the event has been planned in line with NSW Health outdoor event restrictions



What are the COVID Safety Measurements?

All attendees and staff must not attend if they are feeling sick or have any COVID 19 symptoms outlined by NSW Health.

COVID-19 Safe cleaning practices will be undertaken frequently during the event.

Hand sanitizing stations will be available to attendees upon check-in

All attendees will be required to QR code on site and a proof of COVID vaccination will be required.

All attendees including staff will be required to QR code to gain access into the event site. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.

City of Ryde will be checking daily updates and safety measures requested by NSW Health Department to comply with the COVID-19 safety requirements.

Attendees not complying with City of Ryde’s safety rules will be asked to leave the premises by City of Ryde Staff members



What should I bring?

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of vaccination
  • Eftpos/Credit Card (cashless transactions only)
  • Reusable water bottle


Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?

No. Patrons are not allowed to bring their own alcohol to the event. Drinks must be purchased from the licensed bar at the event.



Can I bring my children?

Yes, there will be face painting and limited Kids Activity Packs to give away at the event.



Can we bring dogs?

Yes , Small/ medium sized dogs can come into the event site. Owners must ensure that the dogs are on leads at all times and are the responsibility of the owner.



Can you smoke onsite?

No smoking onsite.



Is there food available?

There will be a selection of food truck options available.



Is there parking available?

There is limited on street parking available, we encourage you to travel by public transport. Plan your trip.



Wet weather?

City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and Facebook page.



Is this site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

The City of Ryde is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. Please contact the City of Ryde Events team at events@ryde.nsw.gov.au to request accommodations. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
