Stage 1 development application for the mixed use redevelopment of Macquarie Centre at: 197-223 Herring Road, Macquarie Park - Macquarie Centre

The Stage 1 development application is for the mixed use redevelopment of Macquarie Centre including design parameters for future development on the site. This includes building envelopes for the proposed basement, expanded podium and four towers fronting Herring Road. The towers will range in height from 90m to 120m above existing ground level and will contain mixed use development including commercial premises, residential accommodation and/or tourist & visitor accommodation. The development will also include the creation of “Station Plaza” between the train station & shopping centre, basement & rooftop car parking building envelopes to accommodate a maximum of 2175 additional car spaces and new vehicle & pedestrian access points.
The Stage 1 development application does not seek approval for any works, the final land uses or the final design of the building exteriors. Such approvals will be sought via subsequent development applications. The application will be referred to the Joint Regional Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act for determination as the capital investment value exceeds $20 million. 
Submissions regarding the above applications close on 18 March, 2016.
The application is not ‘designated development’ under the terms of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act.

Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing addressed to the General Manager and sent by post, email or fax or delivered in person to the Civic Centre or the Ryde Planning and Business Centre. Should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection. Your submission must clearly identify the application number that you are writing about.
All submissions received in relation to rezoning and development applications will be publicly accessible on request. The supply of personal information is voluntary. However if you choose to make an anonymous submission it may be given less weight (or no weight) in the overall consideration of the application.
