The shared user path works have now been completed.

The City of Ryde is committed to improving mobility and transport connections for our community. The shared path between Victoria Road and Epping Road will provide an uninterrupted 5 km connection between Gladesville and North Ryde.

The project is jointly funded by the City of Ryde and the NSW Government to enhance active transport and improve accessibility to our suburbs.

What did the works include?
  • Widening of the existing 1.2m wide footpath to a 2.5m wide shared-use path
  • Line marking and signage
  • Adjustment of driveway crossovers to accommodate the new path

It is a priority for Council to ensure there is minimal impact on trees and vegetation and this has been considered in the designs. As part of the upgrade, 22 trees will be removed and replaced with locally indigenous trees following construction.

The design plans for each section of the works can be viewed via the online interactive map.
