MAJOR DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS

Making Submissions

Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing, and should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection. All correspondence should be addressed to the General Manager and can be sent by:

•  Email: cityofryde@ryde.nsw.gov.au 
•  Post: General Manager, City of Ryde, Locked Bag 2069, North Ryde NSW 1670 
• Drop off: Ryde Library's after hours chute

Council has resolved that all submissions received in relation to rezoning and development applications will be publicly accessible on request.

The supply of personal information is voluntary. However if you choose to make an anonymous submission it may be given less weight (or no weight) in the overall consideration of the application. 


Property: 14-16 Cottonwood Crescent, Macquarie Park
Local Development Application No. LDA2018/0506 (amended)
Applicant: MP No 1 Holdings Pty Ltd
Descriptionl: Demolition of existing buildings, excavation and site preparation work, construction of a 20 storey mixed use building comprising retail uses on the ground floor and 132 residential units over five levels of basement parking, construction of a retail building at the Waterloo Road frontage known as the 'Cyclist Cafe' and associated landscape and public domain works.

Applicant:  Ridge Designs
Description: Demolition, new multi dwelling development containing 3 dwellings - 1 x 4 bedroom 2 story dwelling and 2 x 2 bedroom single storey dwellings as well as strata subdivision,

Property: 18-26 West Parade, West Ryde 
Local Development Application No. MOD2020/0092
Applicant:  The Local Inn Hotel Pty Ltd
Description: Section 4.55(1A) to modify LDA1999/0805 in relation to the Ryedales Tavern trading hours. The modification seeks to make permanent the extended trading hours to 3am on Monday to Saturday and 12 midnight on Sunday.

Local Development Application No: LDA2020/0150
Applicant: Anthony Nakhoul
Description: Demolition, new multi-dwelling housing development comprising 3 dwellings - 1 x 2 storey 5 bedroom dwelling and 2 x single storey 3 bedroom dwellings.

Local Development Application No: LDA2020/0169
Applicant: John Holland Macquarie Park Land Custodian Pty Ltd
Description: Construction of an eleven storey mixed use building comprising retail and commercial uses   over 2 basement levels and landscaping.
The application will be referred to the Sydney North Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for determination as the capital investment value exceeds $30 million.

Local Development Application No: MOD2020/0191
Applicant: Stockland Pty Ltd
Description: Section 4.55(2) application to amend development consent LDA2017/0547 to modify the Water NSW General Terms of Approvals (relating to condition 32).
The application will be referred to the Sydney Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for determination as the application is a Section 4.55(2) where the Panel granted consent to the original development which had a capital investment value exceeding $30 million.
The application is integrated development under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, as the subject site requires a dewatering licence. The relevant approval body is Water NSW.
