Council has received the following Major Development Applications as published in Northern District Times Newspaper.

Please Note: State Significant Projects that are submitted to the State are not advertised by Council. 

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS


Property: 2 Rhodes Street, Meadowbank
Local Development Application No. LDA2019/0436
Applicant: NSW Department of Education
Description: Early works - remediation of contaminated land to ready the site for the construction of the Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct Schools Project. 
The application will be referred to the Sydney North Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for determination as the capital investment value exceeds $5 million.

Property: 20 Maxim Street, West Ryde
Local Development Application No. LDA2019/0437
Applicant: Gita Yazdani-Buiki
Description: Alterations and additions to an existing dwelling and change of use to a child care centre for 48 children. Proposed hours of operation are 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Property: 96 West Parade, Denistone
Local Development Application No. LDA2019/0445
Applicant: Designcorp Architects
Description: Construction of a two storey child care centre for 96 children and 16 staff with basement parking for 18 vehicles. Proposed hours of operation are 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Property: 1 Devlin Street, Ryde - Ryde Central

Local Development Application No. LDA2019/0404
Applicant: Council of the City of Ryde
Construction of a mixed use development including the following:

  • A seven storey local government administration and commercial building in the south of the site with refreshment rooms on the upper level;
  • A multi-purpose and cultural building in the north of the site which will contain a hall seating 500 to 700 persons, activity rooms, meeting rooms, an art gallery and refreshment rooms;
  • Two levels of basement car parking containing 236 car spaces; A public plaza and open space areas as well as landscaping throughout the site. 

The application will be referred to the Sydney North Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for determination as the capital investment value exceeds $5 million.

Property: 22 Myra Avenue, Ryde
Local Development Application No. MOD2019/0245
Applicant: Minto Planning Services Pty Ltd
Description: Section 4.56 application to modify development consent for an affordable rental housing development. The modification involves staging the Torrens Title subdivision to occur in 3 stages.

Local Development Application No. MOD2020/0004
Applicant: 159 Epping Road Pty Ltd
Description: "Section 4.55 application to amend approved residential flat building development. The amendments involve staging the development, changes to the basement car park layout, revised landscape scheme, revised layout and configuration of units and associated elevation changes. 

The application will be referred to the Sydney Planning Panel constituted under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for determination as the application is a Section 4.55(2) where the Panel granted consent to the original development which had a capital investment value exceeding $30 million.

Local Development Application No. LDA2020/0006
Applicant: CHD Design
Description:To construct 3 x 2 storey multi-dwelling house (detached) (2 x 3 bedroom) & (1 x4 bedroom) and one inground swimming pool.

Property: 12 to 18 Cutler Parade, North Ryde
Local Development Application No. LDA2019/0461
Applicant: Mai Designs Pty Ltd
Description: Multi dwelling housing development consisting of 10 dwellings. 5 dwellings adjacent to Cutler Parade are 2 storeys and the rear 5 dwellings are single storey. The development is also proposed to be strata subdivided.

Making Submissions

Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing, and should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection. All correspondence should be addressed to the General Manager and can be sent by:

Council has resolved that all submissions received in relation to rezoning and development applications will be publicly accessible on request.

The supply of personal information is voluntary. However if you choose to make an anonymous submission it may be given less weight (or no weight) in the overall consideration of the application.

STATE SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS

There are no State Significant Projects on exhibition at this time. 

 

State Significant Projects are assessed and determined by the Department of Planning under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
