In August/September last year, City of Ryde asked for feedback on a proposal to upgrade the ANZAC Park Playground to a district level playground.

As the proposed upgrade includes relocating the playground closer to Wattle Street, at its meeting on Tuesday 26 February 2019 Council resolved to undertake more consultation sessions, and to include the consideration of an upgrade to the amenities building (toilet block).

Therefore, Council would like you to provide your feedback again on the playground upgrade including the relocation of the playground and an upgrade of the amenities building.

WHY IS THE PROPOSED PLAYGROUND BEING RELOCATED?

The proposed location of the playground will create a district level, play space with inclusive elements (please refer to concept design link on the right hand side of this page). The proposed location will allow for natural shading by existing trees and will be in closer proximity to the car park, amenities building, footpaths and park furniture.  Relocating the playground will increase opportunities to activate the area and transform the existing playground area into an open kick-about space.

WHAT UPGRADES WILL BE MADE TO THE AMENITIES BUILDING (TOILET BLOCK)?

Before any upgrades to the amenities building (toilet block) are considered, Council would like to know if you support an upgrade to the current amenities building and if so, what features you would like to see included.
