In response to concerns raised by local residents and businesses, Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to install 2P (2-hour) timed parking along Rothesay Avenue in Meadowbank, including a No Stopping zone and a Loading Zone.

What are the proposed changes?

The proposed change will convert unrestricted parking to 2P (2-hour) timed parking on both sides of Rothesay Avenue, Meadowbank. The 2P timed parking would be in effect Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

The proposal also includes installing a No Stopping zone at the end of Rothesay Avenue and a Loading Zone in front of the ‘Butcher and the Farmer’ restaurant.

Why is the change being considered?

The proposed 2P timed parking is being considered to improve short term parking availability in the area. Given that Rothesay Avenue is a “No Through” road, a No Stopping zone has been proposed to provide a turning area for vehicles.

Installing a Loading Zone will facilitate the deliveries to local businesses in the area without any obstruction to traffic.
