Existing play equipment at Waterloo Park Playground

The City of Ryde’s vision for play is to support and nurture children and family friendly communities through play.

Council’s Children’s Play Implementation Plan responds to this vision by ensuring that all families within the City of Ryde have access to safe, accessible and high quality playgrounds. As part of this Plan, Council will be upgrading the playground at Waterloo Park, Marsfield.

We would like to hear your thoughts on the draft concept plans for the playground upgrade which has been separated into two stages:

  • Stage 1 includes a toddler playground extension, waterplay and a social hub. This stage is planned for upgrade in 2022/23 financial year.
  • Stage 2 (pending funding). There is currently no funding identified for Stage 2 of the playground upgrade. Council has applied for funding through the NSW Government ‘Places to Play grant’. If Council is successful, the grant funding will be used for a Stage 2 upgrade which includes accessible monkey bars and tree tops adventure play.
