Consultation on the draft West Ryde Town Centre Masterplan Options closed on Friday 14 May 2021.

We thank the community for your involvement in the consultation process. Council and the consultant team are reviewing the submissions received, and the feedback will be used to inform a preferred Masterplan for West Ryde Town Centre.

The preferred Masterplan will be reported to Council for its endorsement (i.e. finalisation) in the coming months. If you made a submission during the consultation process, you will be provided an update when the report and preferred Masterplan is available online in Council’s business paper and the date of the meeting. If you did not make a submission and would like to register your interest to receive project updates, please use the subscribe to page link below on this webpage.

Once endorsed, the final Masterplan will not directly approve any new development or directly change any development rules such as zoning or height limits. The Masterplan will help guide any future changes to the Ryde Local Environmental Plan 2014 which need to be made via a Planning Proposal. The community will have the opportunity to comment on future Planning Proposals in West Ryde before changes to the planning controls are made.
