West Ryde to celebrate Easter in style

Easter is just around the corner and what better way to mark the occasion in the City of Ryde than by joining in the fun at the West Ryde Easter Celebrations at Anzac Park on Saturday 9 April 2022.
This year’s program for the West Ryde Easter Celebrations features kids’ games and rides, competitions, food trucks and an Easter concert.
Highlights include:
- Easter Wonderland and Easter Enchanted: Join Alice, the crazy Mad Hatter and the Easter Bunny as they take everyone on a magical adventure through song and dance. Later in the day, join Wizard Fizzgig and Fairy Whimsy will as they try and find the hidden Easter eggs
- Easter Bonnet competition: Get crafty and create your own Easter bonnet with Anystore Gift Cards up to the value of $200 to be won
- Colouring in competition: Entries are open now and open to anyone aged 3 – 12 years of age, with the winning entry to receive $100
- West Ryde singing competition: Show off your singing talents in this fun competition on the West Ryde Easter Stage. There will be two categories: 14 years and under and 15 years and over.
City of Ryde Mayor, Clr Jordan Lane, said the West Ryde Easter Celebrations were the perfect lead-in to the Easter holidays.
“West Ryde is synonymous with Easter celebrations in our community and it is fantastic that we can once again come together as a community to mark this special occasion on the calendar,” Clr Lane said.
“Credit must go to the hard-working West Ryde Easter Committee, which has planned a wonderful and fun program of events that will keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
“I look forward to seeing you all there.”
Entry to the West Ryde Easter Celebrations is free, however, an all rides wrist band will need to be purchased for any child who wants to go on the rides at the event. An all rides wrist band costs $20 (plus booking fee) and are available for purchase now.
The first 500 people who register for an all rides wrist band will receive a free kids showbag.
Performances at the West Ryde Easter Celebrations will start at 9am and continue until 3.30pm.
