Report a Public Health Risk
Owners and occupiers of premises have a responsibility to prevent public health risks from occurring.
Common public health risks include:
- Sewer leaks or overflows
- Overgrown land
- Accumulated rubbish
- Inadequate waste storage and handling facilities
- Defective or inadequate roofwater guttering, downpipes or drainage
- Neglected swimming pools.
Council Environmental Health Officers investigate complaints about public health risks and can issue orders where necessary.
