City of Ryde Prayer Breakfast

The City of Ryde Prayer Breakfast has been held since 1992 and is a time for Christians of all denominations to come together as one to promote goodwill throughout the community.

The 2018 City of Ryde Prayer Breakfast will be held on Friday 10 August at the Ryde Civic Hall.

This year our Guest Speaker will be Steve Frost. Steve is the founding director of Horizons Family Law Centre, a charity that works with local churches & faith-based NGO’s to provide free and low cost legal help to people with no other access to a lawyer.

Steve will be presenting based on his experience dealing with Domestic violence, the topic Blessed are the Peacemakers: Can Christian faith help shape an effective community response to domestic violence?” will shape the theme of this year’s event.

Prayer-Breakfast-Speaker-Steve-Frost.jpg Steve Frost is the founding Director of Horizons Family Law Centre, a charity that works with local churches & faith-based NGO’s to provide free and low cost legal help to people with no other access to a lawyer. Horizons’ work is directed primarily towards families with a history of high conflict and family violence who have disputes about children. He has completed training in the dynamics of domestic violence and working with people who have experienced trauma.

Steve also works as a conflict coach & mediator in churches & other Christian settings and has provided training in peacemaking skills across Australia & NZ since 2011.
