Volunteer Opportunities with Council
Help care for our local bushlands by becoming a bushcare volunteer in City of Ryde. You will assist us with the management of our natural areas, mainly on public land, while using bush regeneration techniques and practices. It is a great way to become familiar with the local area, learn about native plants, get fit and meet new people. Bushcare encompasses a wide variety of activities from plant identification to fauna observation and water quality testing.
Council runs a range of fun and festive events that bring our local community together. One of the biggest events is the annual Granny Smith Festival held in October. Our events offer a variety of runs varying from helping at event booths through to event set-up. Complete an expression of interest form below to be notified about volunteering opportunities with our Events team
City of Ryde Libraries offer a variety of services and programs for the local communities such as our Justices of the Peace services, children's storytime, English conversation sessions and more. Volunteers are often needed to help make these services available. If you are interested in volunteering at our libraries, please download a library volunteer application form and pass it to one of our library staff.
