Child and Family Hub

The City of Ryde is committed to making Ryde a City of Wellbeing where all residents feel supported and cared for in their community, through the provision of ample services and facilities.

West Ryde Community Centre

3 - 5 Anthony Road, West Ryde

This ongoing commitment is made real in the bricks and mortar of Council’s newly built community hub, the West Ryde Community Centre, where Council has provided affordable community space to not-for-profit community organisations to deliver community services.

The Services in the Hub include:

  • The Northern Centre
  • Early Childhood Health Centre
  • West Ryde Neighbourhood Children's Centre
  • Relationships Australia NSW Community Builders
  • CASS Care
  • Link Housing

The West Ryde Community Centre is the first hub in the City of Ryde, designed to co-locate a variety of services committed to improving the wellbeing of local children and their families.

Council believes that a key benefit of the community hub model is that it significantly adds-value to Council and services’ capacity for partnerships, joint initiatives, improved referral pathways and information share. It is anticipated that increased collaboration and service integration will have a tangible benefit for children and families in Ryde.

The City of Ryde is therefore investing in the Hub with a model to increase collaboration and partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding.
