An Extraordinary Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 10 June 2025 in the Council Chambers, Level 1A, 1 Pope Street, Ryde and online commencing at 6.00pm.
Council runs a number of guided walks throughout the year, in a variety of locations and with a variety of themes. Guides will share information on heritage, plants, birds and bugs while walkers become familiar with yet another aspect of our wonderful city.
Most walks are about two hours in duration and require average fitness. You will need to wear sturdy walking shoes and a hat and bring water and sunscreen.
Not all walks are bushwalks but those that are may be conducted on unsealed bush tracks with surfaces that may be rough underfoot and include creek crossings. It is possible that flies, ticks and mosquitoes may be encountered. Parents of young children must be confident that their children can manage the distance of the walks.
If you have a medical condition or are an inexperienced walker, please discuss this with your guide prior to departure. Note that there may be no shops or toilets along some walking routes.
