What’s your experience using the lifts on the Devlin Street pedestrian bridges?

Council proposes that the operators of the two Devlin Street pedestrian bridges extend their business hours for servicing of the four lifts.

Proposed Lift Servicing Hours

Monday - Friday 7.30am – 6pm (outside of these hours, including weekends, are considered after-hours). Current servicing hours are 7.30am – 4pm.

    Response Times

    The below times are indicative of maximum response times. A trapped passenger is always the priority, and a technician will attend immediately.

    Response times for a stopped lift with passengers, treated as a priority:

    • Business hours up to 30 minutes
    • After-hours up to 45 minutes

    Response times for a stopped lift without passengers:

    • Business hours up to 45 minutes
    • After-hours up to 75 minutes.

    For all other servicing including doors not opening:

    • Business hours up to 60 minutes
    • After-hours up to 90 minutes.
