Voluntary Planning Agreements on Exhibition

Council proposes to enter into the following Deed of Variation to Voluntary Planning Agreement, which is now on Public Exhibition.

Please Note: Not all VPAs received by Council require advertising. Council follows a Community Participation Plan (CPP) that outlines the mandatory community engagement requirements (how and when Council will engage with the community) on planning matters. The CPP reflects the community participation requirements in planning legislation, including mandatory consultation timeframes.

Notice of Exhibition of Voluntary Planning Agreement under Section 7.4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

Property: 1-20 Railway Parade and 50 Constitution Road, Meadowbank (Lots 1 to 8 DP13637, Lots 4 & 5 DP 7533, Lots 9 to 11 DP7533, Lots 1-2 DP384872; and SP35053, including Lots 1 to 3 and the common property SP35053) (Site) in association with a proposed redevelopment of the Site incorporating demolition of existing structures and construction of a mixed use development comprising four buildings ranging in height, including basement car parking, residential apartments, a boarding house and commercial floor space, the subject of Development Application LDA2020/199 (Development).

Description: The above Development received a deferred commencement consent in the Land and Environment Court (Court) via a Section 34 Agreement on 18 July 2022. 

The VPA provides the following Public Benefits:

  • Dedication and Construction of part of Faraday Lane, creating an intersection with Constitution Road to an agreed value of $1,872,048.00 to be offset from Section 7.11 Contributions applicable to the Development.

Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing, and should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection. They should be addressed to:

Council has resolved that all submissions received in relation to rezoning and development applications will be publicly accessible on request.

The supply of personal information is voluntary. However if you choose to make an anonymous submission it may be given less weight (or no weight) in the overall consideration of the application.
