Brush Farm Park and Lambert Park Masterplan

View of Brush Farm Park

Brush Farm Park and Lambert Park are adjoining parks located on the western boundary of the City of Ryde in the suburb of Eastwood.

Since 2013, the Parks have not had a coordinated masterplan to guide park improvements and protection of environmental systems.

The 2025 Masterplan acts as a key tool for the City of Ryde, guiding Council on the future development of the two parks. It helps prioritise capital works projects, manages environmental outcomes, and ensures heritage values are considered in all planning and development decisions.

This Masterplan Report:

  • Explains the purpose of this Masterplan
  • Summarises the key findings from the community consultation and Background Report
  • Guides future upgrades and planning to ensure Brush Farm Park and Lambert Park continue to serve as vibrant, accessible, and culturally significant spaces
  • Prioritises ecological restoration, passive recreation, and spaces that foster connection with nature
  • Has new infrastructure for exercise, gathering and spectators
  • Prioritises walking as a main attraction, adding a new shared loop and embedding passive pausing points throughout Lambert Park
  • Will expand recreational opportunities by improving the existing hardcourt areas and reconfiguring sports fields to better provide for existing and future users
  • Retains existing buildings with improved access and amenity
  • Recommends further detailed studies to implement effective traffic management around the Parks for access and pedestrians
  • Presents the Masterplan for each park.
