The City of Ryde has adopted the first comprehensive action plan for resilience at a local government level in New South Wales and is working towards creating a better prepared community to withstand and recover quickly from difficulties.

Resilient Ryde considers individuals, communities, businesses, ecosystems and infrastructure by exploring ways to prepare, adapt and thrive as we bounce back from difficulties cause by chronic stresses, major shocks, and emergency situations that affect our community.

Council is offering free Emergency Preparedness and Resilience workshops and talks for local community groups, property managers and businesses. For more information, contact the Resource and Resilience Officer via or 9952 8222.
