Help us celebrate Plastic Free July!
Did you know there is an easy eco-sustainable solution to single use plastic wrap? They are called 'beeswax wraps'! Use these amazing re-usable wraps to keep your sandwiches and snacks fresh without plastic.
Join our workshop at Ryde Library to learn how to make your own wraps for yourself or as a gift.
In the session you will:
- learn about the different methods to create the wraps;
- choose from a selection of patterned cotton fabrics;
- make 2 wraps (approximately 36cm x 33cm) using different methods; and
- take home an instruction guide to make more wraps at home.
You are welcome to bring and wear an apron and you may want to wear older clothes. Warning - this workshop is NOT suitable for children as there will be hot substances and the use of irons involved. The workshop is suitable for ages 16 and over only.
NOTE - there are two sessions to choose from (morning at 11am or afternoon at 2pm). The content of both sessions are the same.
