Meadowbank Park

Meadowbank Park is one of our major sporting and recreation areas. There are more than 10 playing fields used mainly for soccer and cricket, as well as netball hard courts, tennis courts and a skate park. There are three playgrounds and walking and cycling paths along the Parramatta River as part of the Ryde Riverwalk.

Meadowbank Park Regional Playground

The new Meadowbank Park Regional Playground is a state-of-the-art facility that is accessible and inclusive to all children. The playground is located next to the Skate Park and features a range of fun and engaging features, including:

A water park with a splash pad and interactive water play elements
More than 35 metres of elevated climbing equipment
Sand play with interactive sand play elements including a sand pit and sand digger
Nature play zone with fixed sensory play panels, steppers and balancing logs
A quiet zone for passive play including story telling.

Meadowbank Park Skate Park

Meadowbank Park also features a space that includes facilities for the whole family to enjoy, including skateboarders, and scooter and BMX riders.

Key features of the new scooter and skate park include:

Three-metre deep Olympic-standard competition bowl
Dual spine flow bowl as well as obstacles such as a euro gap, kickers, rails, kerb banks, and a streetscape skate park area
A surrounding asphalt track for beginners
Picnic and shelter facilities

Water refill station
New landscaping and controlled lighting
Playground equipment and a climbing net tunnel

Lighting

The Meadowbank Skate Park lights operate from 4.30pm - 7.00pm every day during standard time. During daylight saving time, the Skate Park closes at sunset.
