Chauvel Street, North Ryde - Christmas Lights Parking Restrictions

Consultation closed on 12 May 2019

City of Ryde is seeking feedback on a proposal to extend the temporary No Stopping restrictions installed in Chauvel Street by one additional hour and two additional days, to address traffic and road safety issues associated with the annual Christmas display.

What are the proposed changes?

The existing No Stopping restrictions in Chauvel Street would be extended one additional hour and two additional days,

from:

  •  No Stopping 7.30PM – 10.00PM 11 – 24 December
    to
  • No Stopping 7.30PM – 11.00PM 11 – 26 December

Why is the change being considered?
Feedback from residents following last year’s Christmas display indicated that there were considerable crowds viewing the display on both 25 and 26 December. The extended No Stopping restrictions will address the traffic issues that have been experienced on these days and improve safety for all road users.
