'NO PARKING 5AM—11AM MONDAY' in Station Street, West Ryde

Consultation closed on 03 August 2018

The City of Ryde is seeking feedback on a proposal to install parking controls outside 94 Station Street, West Ryde, to provide a collection point for Council’s waste-collection contractor.  We have included a plan showing the location of the proposed improvements.

What are the proposed changes?

In order to provide an area for waste-collection vehicles to stop and service bins for local properties, Council is proposing to install 15 metres of ‘NO PARKING: 5am‑11am Mon’ in front of 94 Station Street.

The NO PARKING restrictions would be in effect from 5:00am to 11:00am on Monday mornings only.

Why is the change being considered?

Waste-collection vehicles are currently servicing bins by stopping in front of each property, including in the ‘NO STOPPING’ zone near the roundabout at the intersection of Station Street and Constitution Road, and within the roundabout itself.  By providing a dedicated waste-collection area, bins can be serviced in a safer location that does not block the roundabout.
