City of Ryde is seeking feedback on a proposal to install a number of No Parking zones along Pearson Street, Gladesville, to improve two-way traffic flow and driveway access for residents.
What are the proposed changes?
It is proposed that a series of No Parking zones will be installed along Pearson Street to ensure access is maintained to/from residential driveways and that two way traffic is unencumbered by inappropriately parked vehicles.
Why is the change being considered?
Pearson Street between Ashburn Lane and Victoria Road is noted for its constrained carriageway width, with indented 90 degree parking on the western side of the road and parallel parking on the eastern side of the road. Vehicles parked directly opposite the 90 degree indented parking restricts vehicular access to these spaces, with two way traffic along Pearson Street sometimes obstructed by inappropriately parked vehicles.
The installation of the nominated No Parking zones on Pearson Street will improve traffic flow and driveway access for users of the street.
