Council is seeking community feedback on the Ryde Library Service Strategic Plan. The Plan is on public exhibition from 8 May to 5 June 2019.

WHAT IS THE RYDE LIBRARY SERVICE STRATEGIC PLAN?

The Ryde Library Service Strategic Plan Great Libraries Great Communities 2019-2024 identifies goals and strategies to ensure that library services continue to meet the expectations of Ryde’s growing and dynamic population. The Plan also includes a new Library Service Delivery Model outlining the expected future capacity requirements of City of Ryde’s libraries, and providing the foundation for a rapid response to opportunities for new or redeveloped libraries as they arise.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE RYDE LIBRARY SERVICE STRATEGIC PLAN?

The Ryde Library Service Strategic Plan will be used to develop library services to meet future community needs. It provides a strategy for the long term and identifies the catalysts for change. In the short term it will assist with day-to-day planning and decision-making on matters that impact the way library services are provided to the community.
