Westminster Park Masterplan

Consultation closed on 07 July 2019

For the latest project updates, please see the Latest Updates below.

The City of Ryde is seeking your input to create a Masterplan for Westminster Park. We would like to hear what you currently like about Westminster Park and ideas and suggestions for how the park can be improved, managed and maintained now and into the future.

Located in Gladesville, Westminster Park currently includes a sportsground with sports field lighting, an amenities building, a local playground and a former scout hall.

Due to the increasing community needs for sportsgrounds across the City of Ryde, the masterplanning process will investigate strategies to meet the current and future needs of the community. This will include investigation of a synthetic sports field.

Council delivers a wide range of sport and recreation services and natural areas through a network of regional, district, neighbourhood and local open spaces, parklands, sportsgrounds and facilities.

While the network has served the community well for many years, Council recognises that within the context of a rapidly growing and changing area, the roles and functions of our parks and facilities need to be reviewed and updated to meet the community's needs.
