Based on community feedback, Council has commenced a 6-month trial of 4 new dog off-leash areas. The trial will run from Monday 19 October 2020 to Sunday 11 April 2021 at the following sites:

Earlier this year, Council endorsed the Dog Recreation Needs Study which recommended the creation of new dog off-leash areas within the City of Ryde to meet the changing needs of our growing community.

The Dog Recreation Needs Study has identified a number of areas as opportunities to trial new dog off-leash facilities. Based on these recommendations, Council is proposing to trial 7 new dog off-leash areas for a 6 month period across the City, including two areas with access to the Parramatta River.
