Ryedale Road, West Ryde - Parking Changes

City of Ryde is seeking feedback on proposed parking changes along Ryedale Road, West Ryde in order to increase the availability of car parking spaces for short-term visitors to the area. These changes form part of the Ryedale Road Town Centre Upgrade.

What are the proposed changes?

  • Convert the current unrestricted car parking spaces on the western-side of Ryedale Road, between Herbert Street and Wattle Street, to one-hour timed parking from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday (8am – 6pm)
  • Increase the hours of operation of the existing half-hour parking on the shops side to include restrictions from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday (8am – 6pm)

Why is the change being considered?

Council has received several requests to investigate the provision of short-term parking along Ryedale Road, West Ryde, in order to increase availability for visitors to the area.
