TriTone-Redemption-1.png Tell us a bit about who you are and what kind of creative work you make
TriTone Redemption is a versatile band that can adapt to solo, duo, trio, or a full 4-piece band. Based in Ryde, we have been bringing our unique blend of folk and rock to local audiences since we formed in 2020. Our inspiration comes from the likes of Crowded House, Amy Winehouse, The Water Boys, The Lumineers, Van Morrison, and Otis Redding. TriTone Redemption’s music is both uplifting and energizing.

Comprised of local Boronia Park residents, we have a deep connection to our community, and we have honed our craft by performing at various events and venues. We are also committed to supporting emerging artists, and regularly feature young talent as opening acts for our shows.

TriTone-Redemption-3.png How does your personal history, culture or experience inform your creative work?
We have a mixed heritage originating from Ireland, New Zealand and Australia and with some of us classically trained and others more informally trained. This cultural mix and musical backgrounds has heavily influenced the music preferences and the type of music we play.

We started our musical journeys as young children, learning and honing our musical talent into adulthood by busking, playing in various bands and community music groups. We first met each other through playing, helping and supporting the local community choir, for several of our annual charity fund raising concerts. Being local, we are well known in the community and have a strong following.

TriTone-Redemption-2.png What’s your favourite part of working as an artist / creative?
It is too hard to pick one favourite as there are so many great things about being part of a band. Firstly, it is performing and seeing the audience enjoy our music. There is no better feeling than having an audience sing, dance and enjoy the music you are playing.

Secondly, it’s the preparation and the collaboration between band members when learning a new piece of music. Listening and working out how it is going together, who is going to sing and play what and when, then finally putting it all together successfully producing a great sound.

Lastly it is just enjoying each other’s company and having fun doing what we do.

Where can we find out more about your work and get in touch?
