Where is Cork & Fork being held?

City of Ryde’s 2026 Cork and Fork event is being held on Sunday 17 May at Kissing Point Park, Putney from 10am till 4pm. 

Is entry free?

Entry is free. If you wish to purchase alcohol from one of our stallholders, you must purchase a Festival Glass for $10 from the Festival Information Stall.

What happens to lost property?

Lost property can be taken to the Festival Information stall. Items will be returned to their owners who are able to correctly identify the items. Any items that are not claimed will be taken back to the City of Ryde offices you can then contact customer service (9952 8222) post event to collect items.

Are the tastings free?

This is up to the discretion of each stallholder. Beverage Stallholders have been encouraged to provide event patrons with free tastings prior to purchasing.

What’s the alcohol service time?

Patrons may purchase alcohol from providers between 10am till 3:30pm. Attendees may purchase from stallholders for takeaway sales till 4pm.

How can I purchase a drink inside the event?

Once a branded festival glass is purchased from the Festival Information Stall. You can then purchase a glass of your choice at any of the participating beverage stallholders.

Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?

No, patrons are not allowed to bring their own alcohol to the event. Drinks must be purchased from one of the licensed & approved beverage stallholders.

Will there be road closures?

A section of Waterview Street (between Douglas and Charles St) will be closed from 7am Sunday 17 May until 7pm Sunday 17 May (or until safe to re-open).

Council will install ‘No Stopping’ signs along both sides of Douglas Street and Waterview St, between Douglas and Charles St to prepare for the closure.

Is there food available?

There will be a selection of food options to purchase from. Food Trucks are located along Waterview Road and other hot food options can be found on the grass area near Yaralla Road (near the fish sculpture).

What should I bring?

  • Photo ID
  • Suitable clothes for weather on the day
  • Eftpos / credit card
  • Picnic rug or low-lying chair
  • Reusable water bottle, coffee mug & bag

What about waste at the Festival?

City of Ryde is committed to a sustainable environment and the Cork and Fork Festival is designated as a ‘Waste Wise Event.’ We encourage festival attendees to bring their own bags and re-useable water bottles and coffee mugs as no plastic water bottles or plastic bags can be sold at the event. There will be water station available across the day.

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, small to medium size dogs are allowed within the event area. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the dog does not impact.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, you can.

There are a variety of kids' activities available on the day. All children under 17 years of age must always be companied by an adult.

Kids Activities

There is a huge variety of activities for the kids to enjoy including free face painting and free cooking and craft workshops. Pony rides and carnival rides tickets are available for purchase.

Will there be entertainment?

This year’s line up at the Cork and Fork Festival is spectacular with a range of Ryde local performers, Jazz and an energetic finale. To find out who is playing check out the performer schedule.

Do you have ATMs onsite?

No, there will be no ATMs onsite to provide cash out. If you wish to bring cash, please arrange before coming to the venue. All stallholders will have a cashless payment option available.

Is there seating available?

There will be limited seating available on the day.  We encourage all patrons to BYO low lying chair or picnic rugs.

Can you smoke onsite?

No smoking or vaping is permitted onsite.

Can I bring my pram to the event?

Yes, but please be considerate of where you are placing your pram to not obstruct walkways or view of entertainment for other patrons.

Can I bring my own food?

Although we do not encourage this you may bring your own food. Please make sure you discard all your rubbish at the end of the day.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and Facebook page.

Is this site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

Is there mobility drop off and parking available?

If you have a mobility parking permit and require close access to the Festival, use our designated vehicle drop-off zone on Douglas Street located on the map. There will be limited accessible parking available in Cleves Park.

What happens with any photos or videos that might be taken of me whilst I am at the event?

We will have a photographer at the event. Photographs and videos taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.
