Supported Storytimes provide an inclusive and engaging environment for children aged 3+ and their families with additional needs.

Supported Storytimes provide an inclusive and engaging environment for children aged 3+ and their families with additional needs. These sessions foster early literacy skills through interactive stories, songs, and activities designed to support diverse learning styles.

Presented by City of Ryde Libraries staff and supported by Denise Chan, Carman Szeto, and April Sia—local speech pathologists and therapists—each session also includes parental support, featuring insights on key developmental areas such as emotional needs, behaviour, movement, early development, and language.

This month's theme session will be presented by April.

The schedule will begin with stories, songs and rhymes conducted by a City of Ryde Libraries Staff followed by a short presentation/talk on a developmental theme or milestone to support parents, carers and families. The session will conclude with breathing exercises and cool down activities.

Bookings essential. The session will have limited numbers to ensure an intimate and supportive learning environment, and places will be prioritised for families and children with additional learning and development needs.

All participants, including carers, are required to book in.
