201602 - HYS - MREC - Morrison Road Safety Plan

The City of Ryde is dedicated to the safety of its community. Through its Road Safety Initiative, Council has identified Morrison Road as an area of concern due to the volume of traffic.

Therefore with the Member for Lane Cove and the Roads and Maritime Services, the City of Ryde is developing a package of traffic calming measures to reduce congestion and improve safety.

This project has been made possible by Roads and Maritime Services through the NSW Government’s $100 million fund to improve traffic and increase safety across the State.

Following the feedback received from our previous Community Update in May 2015, the City of Ryde and the Roads and Maritime Service (RMS) have taken into consideration this feedback and have agreed to move to the next stage of the proposal. We have completed some of the proposed detailed designs (Design Stage 1) and are now seeking your feedback on those detailed designs through another survey.

Please see the map below for the all the proposed devices along Morrison Road. The devices in orange (Design Stage 1), are those that we have completed a design for and are what we are seeking your feedback on. To view the designs for these devices, please click on the location of the device (in orange) on the below map:
