City of Ryde is seeking feedback on a proposal to install ‘NO STOPPING’ and road markings at the bend in Aster Street and Daffodil Street, Eastwood.

WHAT ARE THE PROPOSED CHANGES?

In order to provide two separate travel lanes around the bend, City of Ryde is proposing to install 28 metres of ‘NO STOPPING’ on the inner radius of the bend (northern side) and 34.5 metres on the outer radius (southern side).

WHY IS THE CHANGE BEING CONSIDERED?

The roadway at the bend in Aster Street and Daffodil Street is approximately 7 metres wide.  When cars park on both sides of the road, there is insufficient space for two vehicles to pass, which reduces access for emergency vehicles and increases the likelihood of a collision.
