Fermenting Workshop (FULLY BOOKED)

This event is FULLY BOOKED.

Come along and learn how fermented foods increase the diversity of our internal ecosystem – gut flora – by introducing and feeding a wide range of beneficial organisms. Think about fermenting as packing health into a jar!

During the workshop you will not only learn about how to safely ferment fruit and vegetables, you will also have a chance to make a jar of colourful seasonal kraut.

What you will take home:

  • a jar of vegetables set to ferment

  • fermenting recipes (emailed to you after the workshop)

  • very valuable skills, which will enable you to make a successful kraut every time

Who: This workshop is suitable for adults who live in the City of Ryde local government area.

Equipment: Please bring your own

  • notepad and pen
  • water bottle
  • reusable cup to reduce our environmental impact, and enjoy morning tea
