Council Meeting - Net Zero Emissions Pathway

The Net Zero Emissions Pathway is scheduled to be considered at the Council Meeting being held on the 4 April 2023.
In August 2022, Council adopted the final of two targets, to deliver a Net Zero Emissions Plan for Ryde with allocated funding to ensure the Plan delivery against the targets. The targets adopted a ‘Net Zero Emissions target by 2035 or sooner for Council Operations’ and a ‘2040 or sooner target for Community emissions’. This outcome is ahead of the NSW State Government goal by 2050 and will ensure Ryde deliver on it’s 2019 Climate Emergency Declaration and show leadership in this space.
At it’s April 2023 meeting, Council will present on the final community engagement findings for the Plan priorities as nominated by community for Council to implement.
