Following the City of Ryde Council Meeting adjournment from last night (Tuesday 29 April) due to a fire alarm evacuation interrupting proceedings, the meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday 30 April, at 7.00pm.
City of Ryde has committed to planting more trees across the City to help provide more shade, cleaner air and more beautiful places to live and play.
As part of this commitment, Council will be planting approximately 800 new street trees across the suburbs of Eastwood, Marsfield, East Ryde and North Ryde.
This planting will help improve and expand the connectivity between local bushland areas and enhance local biodiversity.
Planting works are due to commence from Monday 14 April through to Monday 30 June 2025.
Council will plan and implement the planting of new nature strip trees based on the feedback received during the community consultation period.
