The Planning Proposal for 197-223 Herring Road, Macquarie Park - Macquarie Shopping Centre (Lot 100 in DP1190494), seeks to allow one (1) general advertising structure on the land.

DRAFT AMENDMENTS TO THE RYDE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT PLAN (RLEP 2014):
  • Amend RLEP 2014 Schedule 1 Additional permitted uses through the addition of a clause that permits with Council consent development for the purposes of one (1) advertising structure on the property 197 – 223 Herring Road Macquarie Park.

The Department of Planning and Environment as delegate for the Greater Sydney Commission issued a Gateway Determination on 11 October, 2017 which stipulates the public exhibition of the Planning Proposal for a minimum of 28 days in accordance with Sections 56(2)(c) and 57 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. 

The Department of Planning and Environment as delegate of the Greater Sydney Commission has issued Council with authorisation to exercise delegation to make the Plan.

Planning Proposal 197 – 223 Herring Road Macquarie Park – Macquarie Shopping Centre (Lot 100 in DP1190494) is on public exhibition up until 12 January 2018 for community comment.
