Development Control Plan (DCP)

The Development Control Plan (DCP) 2014 provides guidelines, objectives and controls for people who wish to carry out development in the City of Ryde. The DCP is to be read in conjunction with the Ryde Local Environmental Plan 2014 and any relevant State and Regional Environmental Planning policies. The North Ryde Station Precinct Development Control Plan applies to the North Ryde Station Precinct.

Council adopted the City of Ryde Development Control Plan 2014 on 28 May 2013 and the Plan came into effect on 12 September 2014. 

Please note: On 14 February 2017 Council adopted amendments to Ryde DCP 2014 with respect to parking requirements for commercial and industrial development in the Macquarie Park Corridor. These amendments come into effect on Wednesday 22 March 2017 and relate to Part 4.5 and Part 9.3. Revised versions of Part 4.5 and Part 9.3 will appear on Council's webpage from 22 March 2017. Please note: As of 1 December 2021, a reference to an Environment Protection zone E1, E2, E3 or E4 in a document should be taken to be a reference to a Conservation zone C1, C2, C3 or C4. Only C1 and C2 (formerly E1 and E2) are applicable to the City of Ryde Local Government Area. For further information please see Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Amendment (Land Use Zones) Order 2021.
