How to parent a Confident Child (0-10 years)

This workshop, presented in Mandarin, is designed to help strengthen communication with your child (aged between 0 – 10 years old) and nurture their confidence and emotional regulation skills.

Covering a range of practical topics, from how to respond to children’s worries to the art of effective praise, this session includes interactive activities, videos, and psychological quizzes to offer practical and insightful parenting strategies.

Topics covered:

  • Why are some children timid or lack confidence?
  • The 5-step emotion coaching steps to improve communication when children are emotional
  • How your own emotional responses as a parent affect your relationship with your child
  • The art of effective praise and how it can reduce behavioural issues.

The program is developed from the University of Melbourn’s evidence-based program ‘Tuning into Kids’ which supports parents to recognise, understand and respond to children’s emotions in a healthy way.
