Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year Festival - Saturday 28 February Eastwood - Year of the Horse

The much-loved Lunar New Year Festival was held in the heart of Eastwood on Saturday 28 February 2026, celebrating the Year of the Horse.

The festival featured amusement rides, market stalls, food trucks, cultural performance, pony rides, fireworks and an incredible lion high pole performance.

The 2026 Festival’s footprint expanded into Koreatown along Railway Parade from 12pm – 5pm for the first time. This expansion was proudly supported by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW. Eastwood Oval then came alive from 4pm – 9pm.

The City of Ryde is excited for the 2027 Lunar New Year Festival which will be celebrating the Goat.
